Financial/Billing Analyst

ASM Global is a leader in managing public assembly facilities, and they are seeking a Finance/Billing Analyst for the Salt Palace Convention Center & Mountain America Exposition Center. This role focuses on customer invoicing, payroll, financial planning & analysis, and the modernization of financial systems through automation.


Responsibilities

  • Support accounting deadlines (including month-end close and year-end close) activities
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Participate in audits as needed
  • Other accounting duties as assigned are based on business needs across GL, AR, AP, Payroll, etc
  • Support the annual budgeting process for both venues, partnering with department leaders to develop detailed revenue and expense projections
  • Maintain rolling forecasts and structured financial models to monitor performance against budget
  • Prepare, analyze, and interpret monthly financial statements, including variance analysis and actionable performance insights
  • Design, build, and maintain automated financial reporting workflows in Tableau or Alteryx
  • Identify and eliminate manual processes through scripting, workflow automation, and system integration
  • Perform ETL processes and manage financial data architecture to support forecasting, pricing strategy, and performance analysis
  • Collaborate with accounting, operations, sales, and executive leadership to align financial insights with operational strategy
  • Assist in the development and documentation of finance and accounting policies, ensuring compliance with company standards and financial regulations
  • Lead or support special projects focused on process improvement, operational efficiency, and systems enhancement

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting information systems, economics, or other related degree
  • Experience building dashboards, working with structured datasets, and automating workflows
  • Strong quantitative reasoning, financial acumen, and systems-thinking mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive projects independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable collaborating with leadership, colleagues, clients, exhibitors, and attendees
