Nissan Motor Corporation is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team in Mississauga, Ontario. In this role, you will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance analysis to support data-driven decisions that influence profitability and operational success.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly financial performance, forecasts, and annual budgets
  • Develop monthly reporting packages and conduct variance analysis, explaining results versus plan in partnership with business units
  • Provide Return on Investment (ROI) analysis to support operational departments and strategic initiatives
  • Assist in developing and coordinating annual FMI, G&A, and CAPEX budgets, ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines
  • Review expenditure requests by analyzing cost-benefit considerations and coordinating finance approvals
  • Coordinate preparation and reporting of operating expenses
  • Prepare journal entries and accruals to support accurate monthly financial close

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
  • 1 to 3 years of finance experience
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, business plan evaluation, and financial reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills (VBA, Power Query, Power BI) and proficiency with office software applications
  • Financial modeling capabilities and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Actively pursuing a professional accounting designation (CPA)
  • Experience working with multiple business units or corporate groups
  • Ability to explain complex financial information clearly and persuasively
