The Field Service Engineer II will support customer needs by providing installation, maintenance, and repair services on various instruments, ensuring patient health and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide installation support, maintenance, modification and/or repair on 1-2 groups of mechanical, electromechanical, electronic and/or refrigeration instruments
- Document and complete service administration activities in a timely manner to follow ISO, FDA, and Leica policies
- Actively support the sale of service contracts, assist sales representatives & service team members with system configurations/upgrades, and provide feedback on ways to improve financial performance to generate service revenue
Skills
- Associate's degree with 3+ years of field service experience or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Science with 1+ year of experience or related field OR equivalent military experience (working on any mechanical, technical, laboratory, pneumatic or any related instruments.)
- This position requires up to 90% flying and/or driving travel, which includes overnight stays. Travel will primarily be domestic but may occasionally be international
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise and/or place up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to stand, walk (prolonged), and sit; squat and kneel, ascend and descend stairs; reach with hands and arms
- Diagnosing and repairing medical devices, electromechanical equipment, or scientific instruments
- Field Service Engineering and/or Networking/IT system upgrades
- A lab or hospital environment
