  • *Key Responsibilities:**

As a Veterinary Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service, including greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments, ensuring seamless communication with clients and our veterinary team.
  • Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients, building strong relationships and driving business growth.
  • Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments, with empathy and understanding.
  • Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions, to meet the unique needs of our clients and their pets.
  • Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care, such as heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control.
  • Managing medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Ensuring hospital maintenance, including removal of animal waste, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for clients and their pets.
  • *Essential Qualifications:**

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a veterinary or healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a focus on empathy and understanding.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • *Preferred Qualifications:**

While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset:

  • Experience working in a veterinary or animal-related field.
  • Knowledge of animal behavior, nutrition, and health.
  • Certification in customer service or a related field.
