About the Role

As a Tech Data Analyst I at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in our Technology Planning and Analysis group. In this position, you will work closely with your partners to develop scalable assessment strategies that analyze collections of work being added to our technology roadmap. This includes conducting meaningful analyses related to cost modeling, sequencing and dependency planning, prioritization, and taxonomy buildout.

You will be joining a team that values intellectual curiosity, data-driven decision-making, and collaborative problem-solving. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguous situations, is naturally inquisitive, and possesses a genuine passion for translating complex data into actionable insights that drive business success.

What You Will Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Organize multiple sources of data to build multivariate structures that support analysis and drive decisions for the organization at large

  • Create and deploy tools and dashboards for end users that power data-driven decision-making across all departments

  • Build strategic decision-making frameworks and write scripts that help automate and scale our operations

  • Work with partners to establish and identify goals; define measurable objectives, key results, and meaningful metrics for the business; then ensure we track and measure them effectively

  • Be a dedicated steward for our technology roadmap—communicating status and plans to partners appropriately and transparently

  • Achieve organizational goals by driving through challenges, handling multiple priorities, and ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs

  • Translate technical findings into clear, compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to support new product launches and feature rollouts

Required Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Programming, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong knowledge of informatics, data analysis, and management consulting—specifically in a quantitative or data-intensive role

  • Technical Proficiency: Experience working with data manipulation software such as R, SQL, or Python. Familiarity with dashboard building tools like Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms. Ability to write database queries and scripts confidently.

  • Technology Understanding: Demonstrated understanding of various types of existing and emerging technologies and their ecosystems. A well-developed understanding of how to collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new products.

  • Communication Skills: Ability to translate requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Self-Motivation: Strong strategic capability, consistent judgment, and excellent directional sense. You must be a self-starter who takes initiative.

  • Customer Focus: A passion for making end-users happy and strong opinions about what constitutes great user experience.

  • Problem-Solving Attitude: Creative and clever, with no fear of diving into details and a willingness to be the first to tackle any challenge.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following would be beneficial:

  • Experience in Technology, Media, Telecommunications (TMT) sectors—particularly in product management or consulting roles

  • Understanding of the online video ecosystem, advertising technology, and/or media technology landscape

  • Internship experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related fields

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and frameworks
