Position Overview

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Senior Statistics Architect to join our Voice of the Customer (VoC) team within our Global Services and Global Consumer Business divisions. In this critical role, you will be responsible for transforming and innovating our end-to-end Voice of the Customer methodology, working with cutting-edge big data technologies and platforms to deliver actionable insights that drive business excellence.

This position offers the flexibility of a remote or hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to contribute to our mission from anywhere. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, process specialists, technology partners, and agile delivery teams, to build robust data architectures that support our global customer experience initiatives.

Our Voice of the Customer program processes over 5 million customer surveys annually across our Consumer, Business, and Service Provider segments. This comprehensive program includes designing and deploying customer experience surveys available in more than 10 languages and implemented in over 20 countries. As a Senior Statistics Architect, you'll play a pivotal role in evolving this program through advanced data solutions and innovative technological implementations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Statistics Architect at arenaflex, you will be at the forefront of our data transformation initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include:


  • Platform Development & Maintenance: Lead the development and maintenance of our new Voice of the Customer technology platform, sourced from Cornerstone and integrated with our survey and dashboard infrastructure powered by Qualtrics – our trusted survey vendor.

  • Business Requirements Definition: Collaborate closely with application teams to define, structure, and capture comprehensive business requirements that align with organizational objectives.

  • Data Architecture Design: Design and build robust data model architectures that support optimal data processing and standardized metric definitions across all business units.

  • Big Data Solutions: Enable big data and batch/real-time analytical solutions using transformational technologies including Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, and Python to deliver innovative solutions while ensuring data quality and accuracy through intensive testing.

  • Technical Leadership: Provide guidance to enhance capabilities that drive efficiency in computing systems using the big data ecosystem.

  • Consumer Story Analysis: Power consumer story analysis and elaboration, design and development of software programs, and create automation tools for testing and deployment.

  • Process Automation: Proactively identify and automate manual tasks to improve quality and operational efficiency across all processes.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with partners from various business units to prioritize, define, develop, and test data for diverse use cases as part of the Voice of the Customer end-to-end methodology.

  • Technology Integration: Expand knowledge of Voice of the Customer methods and leverage this expertise to transform data within the Cornerstone big data platform.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:


  • Technical Expertise: Minimum 3+ years of hands-on development experience with Hive/Hadoop, PySpark, Python, Shell Scripting languages, along with solid understanding of deployment management and troubleshooting for data-driven projects.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Proven experience actively collaborating with relationship managers and product owners to understand functional requirements and convert them into technical deliverables.

  • Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies, including the implementation of small increments of products at regular intervals to meet business needs effectively.

  • Big Data Technologies: In-depth knowledge of big data ecosystems, including distributed computing frameworks and data processing pipelines.

  • Data Quality Assurance: Strong understanding of data quality principles and experience implementing rigorous testing protocols at variable and use case levels.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be considered a strong advantage:


  • Experience with Qualtrics or similar survey platforms

  • Knowledge of customer experience measurement methodologies

  • Background in financial services or consumer business sectors

  • Experience with real-time data streaming technologies

  • Understanding of data governance and compliance requirements

  • Multilingual capabilities with experience in global implementations
