Position Overview


We are seeking an accomplished and visionary leader to serve as our Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse & Analytics within the Trust & Safety organization. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving our global efforts to combat bad actors, protect our community, and deliver data-driven insights that inform policy and product decisions. You will oversee teams dedicated to identifying and mitigating account takeovers, spam, engagement manipulation, policy evasion, and other forms of abuse that threaten the integrity of our platform.

This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in risk management, fraud detection at scale, and analytical insights generation. You will lead cross-functional collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, Global Operations, and Policy Development teams to build robust detection systems, scalable enforcement mechanisms, and transparent reporting frameworks.

Key Responsibilities



  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead the Adversarial Abuse team responsible for identifying and removing bad actors attempting account takeovers, spam, engagement manipulation, and evasion of account termination. Additionally, oversee the Business Analytics team responsible for generating insights, measuring undetected abuse, and publishing Transparency Reports for countries worldwide.

  • Strategic Risk Management: Understand, anticipate, and intelligently moderate risks emerging from new and scaling industry trends, including the rise of generative AI and evolving abuse vectors.

  • Policy Collaboration: Work closely with the Policy Development team to create policies using account, social, and content signals to characterize harmful behavior and protect our community.

  • Operational Excellence: Drive effective and efficient operational performance (quality, service levels) in a global team operating 24/7 across multiple time zones.

  • Talent Development: Attract, retain, manage, and develop top-tier talent while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.

  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Manage escalations with rapid turnaround times, provide data and content-driven insights, and implement solutions while building relationships with key cross-functional partners to help launch new products and policies that effectively prevent adversarial abuse.

  • Executive Communication: Present findings, strategies, and recommendations to senior leadership and external stakeholders with clarity and impact.

Essential Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in risk management, fraud fighting at scale, and building/delivering analytical insights.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with engineering teams that build data infrastructure and machine learning models.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading teams with the ability to work non-standard work weeks as accelerations require, including occasional on-call availability on weekends and holidays on a rotational basis.

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguous situations and drive results in a rapidly changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications



  • Advanced degree in a connected field such as Analytics, Engineering, Data Science, or Business Administration.

  • 2+ years of experience with analysis of large datasets and anomaly detection techniques.

  • Experience or demonstrated interest in anti-abuse operations, content moderation, or trust and safety functions.

  • Proficiency in SQL, R, or Matlab for statistical analysis and data manipulation.

  • Exceptional influencing and executive communication skills with the ability to build relationships across functional boundaries.

  • Excellent business judgment, strategic and analytical capabilities, including using data to drive strategy and business action.

  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing industry and manage ambiguity while minimizing uncertainty through quantitative insights.
