Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst to support our Item and Tech Examination group. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving data-informed decision-making across our sign-up, subscription, and commerce platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze complex datasets, uncover actionable insights, and develop recommendations that directly impact business performance.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Data Analyst at arenaflex, your responsibilities will include:

• Conduct Comprehensive Analysis: Build examinations, data visualizations, and multi-user reporting dashboards that provide critical support for operations and decision-making across our sign-up and business product spaces. You will create insightful reports that help stakeholders understand performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Answer Key Business Questions: Provide analytical expertise on the various subscription and commerce streams across our streaming platforms to improve customer experience and increase conversions. You will work with business leaders to define questions, design analyses, and deliver findings that drive strategic initiatives.
• Advance Analytical Capabilities: Collaborate in the design of analytic solutions and deliver exceptional data insights and products that empower the business. You will mentor junior analysts and contribute to the continuous improvement of our analytical frameworks and methodologies.
• Technical Data Analysis: Use data visualization tools, SQL, and scripting languages to access and analyze both structured and unstructured data. You will be responsible for data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and analysis from multiple sources.
• Statistical Analysis: Apply descriptive and inferential statistics (including t-tests, chi-square tests, ANOVA, correlation analysis, regression, and factor analysis) to understand cohort behaviors and value, making a meaningful impact across the business.
• Stakeholder Communication: Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams. You must be able to translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable business insights.
• End-to-End Project Ownership: Take analysis projects from ambiguous requirements through to meaningful outcomes, translating data into stories that resonate with diverse audiences and ultimately drive measurable business results.

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of professional experience as an analyst in a data and analytics role, with strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for complex querying, advanced analysis, performance optimization, and working with data at scale.
• Project Delivery: Experience delivering end-to-end analysis projects—from ambiguous requirements to meaningful stories, communicated across various audiences, and ultimately resulting in clear business outcomes.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral). Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues, partners, and technical collaborators. Comfortable presenting findings and recommendations before senior leadership.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization. Familiarity with industry-standard tools and platforms.
• Self-Motivation: Strong motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision while still being a collaborative team player.

Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications)

While not required, the following qualifications would strengthen your application:

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Data Science
• Demonstrated data visualization skills with tools such as Matplotlib, Tableau, Looker, MicroStrategy, Plotly, or similar platforms
• Experience with marketing landing pages, sign-up channels, and commerce spaces
• Ability to identify and appropriately escalate issues to management
• Consulting background, MBA, or multi-industry experience
• A sense of humor and exceptional interpersonal skills
