- *Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Medical Records Data Entry Specialist to join our ROI (Release of Information) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing document preparation, verifying information, and preparing correspondence with insurance agents, beneficiaries, attorneys, patients, and hospital staff. If you have strong organizational and clerical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality work, we encourage you to apply.
- *Responsibilities**
- Communicate with insurance agents and beneficiaries to ensure accurate and timely information exchange
- Prepare claim forms and related documentation for audits and/or mail out
- Review claim submissions and verify the information to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Record and maintain policies and claims information in database systems
- Comply with federal, state, and company regulation policies
- Perform clerical tasks as required, including sorting and preparing hard copy records for scanning and document preparation
- Scan hard copy files to electronic images, ensuring a quality image and following production procedures
- Complete internal documentation and tracking to ensure accurate and efficient record management
- *Requirements**
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and computer knowledge
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and management
- The ability to remove staples, sort, file, and box records
- Ability to maintain record order and sequence
- Ability to understand the importance of detail and accuracy
- Ability to work at a sustained pace to meet production rates while producing quality work
- 1+ year of medical data entry experience
- 1+ years of medical front desk experience
