- Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate overall and local transportation, including arranging activities and improvements of parts by truck, air, and ocean.
- Perform shipment splits and discrepancies, and prepare delivery and distribution documentation for internal and external compliance.
- Transport stock and affirm things against import/convey necessities, where applicable.
- Coordinate with transportation associations to plan, schedule, and direct import and item shipments.
- Monitor associates and visitors, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Utilize various software systems, including SAP, MS Excel, Word, Outlook, SNAP-R, and Expert, to manage and track shipments.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and security, and adhere to relevant regulations and laws.
Essential Qualifications
- To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to work 40+ hours per week, primarily during M-F dayshift activities with occasional evenings and weekends.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, and authorization to work in the US.
- Proficiency in using various software systems, including SAP, MS Excel, Word, Outlook, SNAP-R, and Expert.
Preferred Qualifications
- In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
- A long-term advanced degree in Materials Management, Trade Compliance Assertion, or a related field.
- Related knowledge and experience with import and product breathing space strategies, and hazardous product regulations.
- The ability to travel as required, and experience with SAP systems.
