The Opportunity: Lead Data Analyst

What You'll Do

As a Lead Data Analyst at arenaflex, you will play a crucial role in guiding our team's reporting strategy and data architecture. Your responsibilities will include:

• Business Performance Reporting & Visualization: Serve as the primary partner for cross-functional stakeholders to understand platform performance. When metrics are ahead or behind expectations, dive deep to drive meaningful, actionable insights that help improve business performance or double down on successes.
• Reporting & Tooling Strategy: Lead the team in creating meaningful and consistent metrics and reporting across all streaming platforms. Establish best practices for data presentation and ensure stakeholders receive accurate, timely information.
• BI Execution: Drive reporting for large-scale data initiatives. Act as a subject matter expert for professionals on the team while collaborating with Data Engineering and Engineering teams to design and build performant ETLs, intermediate tables, and beautiful, fast Looker dashboards.
• Creation of a Single Source of Truth: Partner with our Governance team to bring together analysts and stakeholders from across the organization to define and standardize the metrics by which we assess product performance.
• ETL and Metric Design: Own measurement design and production by defining business requirements, architecture and development, and long-term data scalability. Ensure our data infrastructure can grow with our business needs.
• Collaboration and Communication: Partner closely with business stakeholders to identify and understand what they need to drive decisions. Work with other data teams to improve platform capabilities around data modeling, testing platforms, data visualization, and data architecture.

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.


• Expertise developing data analysis and data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Chartio, or similar platforms.


• 4+ years of analytical experience, preferably specifically in analysis engineering.


• Strong proficiency in SQL, with some experience in SparkSQL, Hive, or similar technologies.


• Extensive experience with OLAP databases like Snowflake or Redshift.


• Experience developing and maintaining advanced tables for reporting through ETLs.


• Project and resource management experience, defining objectives and timelines, and coordinating work across multiple stakeholders.


• Proficiency in Python/R or other statistical programming languages.


• Exceptional drive and passion for delivering exceptional products.


• Strong interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal presentation abilities and experience presenting to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the streaming, media, or entertainment industry.


• Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals and their application to business problems.
