As an experienced full stack pharmacy technician at arenaflex, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, operating pharmacy systems, and ensuring seamless customer experiences. You will work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver top-notch patient care and support the overall mission of arenaflex.

  • *Key Responsibilities**
  • Assist pharmacists in the exercise of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with national and federal regulations.
  • Use pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
  • Model and provide a unique and delightful customer experience by engaging customers and patients, resolving customer issues, and sharing customer service best practices.
  • Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers and assist in the development of relationships with the local medical community.
  • Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, personnel Pharmacist, and Store Supervisor, including utilizing pharmacy systems, filling prescriptions, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for potential interactions.
  • Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow.
  • Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company policies and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the quality improvement program.
  • Adhere to the arenaflex Co. Policy regarding accurate dispensing throughout all applicable prescription dispensing activities.
  • Register all related sales on assigned cash register, collect and handle coins as required, and take customers to the OTC aisle to assist in finding merchandise.
  • Handle telephone calls that do not require the personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians.
  • Method (correct and resubmit) claims for third-party prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and perform other clerical responsibilities as assigned by the Store Manager.
  • Assist and support the Pharmacy Department on stock management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of prescription medications.
  • Maintain knowledge of company asset safety procedures and document claims for warehouse overages (merchandise received but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed but not obtained), order mistakes or broken goods related to Rx capsules.
  • May assist pharmacists in administering medical services, including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients and other medical services as required.
  • Assist the Pharmacy Supervisor and personnel Pharmacist in developing and maintaining true relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers, through clinical provider detailing and outreach to healthcare agencies, retirement homes, nursing homes, and other forums for reinforcing growth opportunities.
  • *Education & Personal Development**
  • Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the unique PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration.
  • Attend training and complete PPLs as requested by the manager and acquire continuing education credits.
  • Maintain expertise and skills in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest information and developments.
  • Through completion of the arenaflex pharmacy technician apprenticeship program, experience qualifies for 8 (8) college credit hours as recognized by the American Council on Education (ACE).
  • *Basic Qualifications**
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • *Preferred Qualifications**
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer previous work experience with arenaflex.
  • Prefer desirable math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
  • Prefer correct computer skills.
  • Prefer knowledge of store inventory management.
  • Prefer PTCB certification.
