As an Experienced Full Stack Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering patient-centric care, leveraging arenaflex's cutting-edge technology, and contributing to the growth of our pharmacy services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting pharmacists in the exercise of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with national and federal regulations
  • Utilizing pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information and process prescriptions
  • Modeling and providing a unique and delightful customer experience
  • Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with services and products
  • Resolving customer issues and answering inquiries to ensure a superior customer experience
  • Developing strong relationships with most valuable customers
  • Performing duties as assigned by the Pharmacy manager, personnel Pharmacist, and store supervisor, including using pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug records, filling prescriptions, and verifying medication accuracy
  • Assisting pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow
  • Reporting prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhering to company rules and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the quality improvement program
  • Strictly adhering to the arenaflex Co. Policy regarding accurate dispensing throughout all applicable prescription dispensing activities
  • Registering all related income on assigned cash register, collecting and handling coins as required
  • Taking customers to the OTC aisle to assist in finding merchandise
  • Handling telephone calls that do not require the personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians
  • Processing guide claims for third-party prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and performing other clerical responsibilities as assigned by the store manager
  • Assisting and supporting Pharmacy department on stock management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of prescription drugs
  • Maintaining knowledge of company asset safety procedures and documenting claims for warehouse overages, shortages, order mistakes, or broken goods related to Rx capsules
  • Assisting pharmacists in administering medical services, including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients and other medical services as required
  • Assisting pharmacy staff in coordination of medical services, arenaflex healthcare clinics, and external vendors
  • Assisting Pharmacy supervisor and personnel Pharmacist in developing and maintaining strong relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers, through clinical provider detailing and outreach to healthcare agencies, retirement homes, nursing homes, and other forums for reinforcing growth opportunities
  • Assisting with outdoor and indoor maintenance by ensuring the pharmacy department is stocked with sufficient supplies, clean, neat, and orderly in appearance and condition
  • *Education & Personal Development**
  • Earns and maintains PTCB Certification through the arenaflex pharmacy technician training program and/or state required certification/registration
  • Attends training and completes PPLs requested by manager and acquires continuing education credits
  • Maintains expertise and skill in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest information and developments
  • Through completion of the arenaflex pharmacy technician apprenticeship program, experience qualifies for 8 (8) college credit hours as recognized by the American Council on Education (ACE)
  • *Basic Qualifications**
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • *Preferred Qualifications**
  • Choose to have six months of experience in a retail environment
  • Choose to have previous work experience with arenaflex
  • Choose to have desirable math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
  • Choose to have correct computer skills
  • Choose to have knowledge of store inventory management
  • Prefer PTCB certification
