As an Experienced Full Stack Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for providing patient-centric care, processing prescriptions, and maintaining accurate records. You will work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • *Key Responsibilities**
  • Assist pharmacists in the exercise of pharmacy, including the performance of other pharmacy branch duties according to employer policies and procedures.
  • Use pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
  • Model and provide a unique and delightful customer experience.
  • Engage customers and patients by greeting them and providing assistance with services and products.
  • Resolve customer issues and answer inquiries to ensure a superior customer experience.
  • Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers.
  • Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy manager, personnel Pharmacist, and store supervisor, including using pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug records, ensuring information is entered accurately, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical tablets, verifying medication is accurate, and checking for potential interactions.
  • Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow.
  • Report, immediately, prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company rules and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the quality improvement program.
  • Adhere strictly to the arenaflex Co. Policy regarding accurate dispensing throughout all applicable prescription dispensing activities.
  • Register all related sales on assigned cash register, collect and handle cash as required.
  • Take customers to the OTC aisle when possible to assist in finding merchandise.
  • Handle telephone calls that do not require the personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians.
  • Method (correct and resubmit) claims for third-party prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and perform other clerical responsibilities as assigned by the store manager.
  • Assist and support the Pharmacy department on stock management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of prescription drugs.
  • Maintain knowledge of company asset safety procedures, and document claims for warehouse overages (merchandise received, but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed, but not obtained), order mistakes or broken goods related to Rx capsules.
  • May assist pharmacists in administering medical services, including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients and other medical services as required; assist pharmacy staff in coordination of medical services, arenaflex healthcare clinics, and external vendors.
  • Assist the Pharmacy supervisor and personnel Pharmacist in developing and maintaining strong relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers, through clinical provider detailing and outreach to healthcare agencies, retirement homes, nursing homes, and other forums for reinforcing growth opportunities.
  • *Education and Personal Development**
  • Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the unique PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration.
  • Attend training and complete PPLs as requested by manager and acquire continuing education credit.
  • Maintain expertise and skills in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest information and developments.
  • Through completion of the arenaflex pharmacy technician apprenticeship program, experience qualifies for 8 (8) college credit hours as recognized by the American Council on Education (ACE).
  • *Basic Qualifications**
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • *Preferred Qualifications**
  • Choose to have six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Choose to have previous work experience with arenaflex.
  • Choose to have desirable math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
  • Choose to have correct computer skills.
  • Choose to have knowledge of store inventory management.
  • Prefer PTCB certification.
