• *Focus Areas in Data Platform Teams**

### Database Access Stage

The Database Access Stage team builds and operates an adaptable query interface that works with data reflections to operate at sub-millisecond latencies while enabling Netflix microservices to more easily store, consume, and manage their data. This team plays a crucial role in empowering Netflix microservices to meet their increasingly growing and evolving data needs.

### Data Stage Foundation

The Data Stage Foundation team serves as a platform for our own data platforms. Our shared framework and tooling enable arenaflex to rapidly enhance on providing cutting-edge data and analytics platforms to the rest of the organization without building customized platforms for each new framework. To achieve this, we create high-impact frameworks, control, and deployment systems that are calibrated for the needs of running our data platforms at scale; many of our tools and frameworks are written in Python, making this an excellent group to consider if you enjoy working in various languages.

### Big Data Figure

Responsible for providing the cloud-native stage for distributed data processing at arenaflex. This team is vital to batch data processing in Data Stage. It offers support for Flash, to ETL data into the Petabytes-scale data warehouse and access that data using Flash and Voila/TrinoDB. It also provides sub-second latency to a specific class of queries using Druid. We're seeking exceptional talent with experience in Flash, Presto/Trino, Druid, Iceberg, and distributed database frameworks in general. Roles in this group include tackling fascinating and challenging issues of working with data at scale, building features and performance enhancements, and working closely with open-source communities to shape the technology and make contributions.

### Big Data Arrangement

Offers the stage for planning, organizing, and executing large data jobs and workflows in a self-serve way. These stages include basic services that have all ETL and ML responsibilities running on Big Data Frameworks at arenaflex. These fully distributed frameworks are continually evolving for arenaflex scale with best-in-class technology. We're moving towards event-driven and intelligent orchestration which would require minimal client input/intervention.

• You have 2+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems features or applications.

• You're knowledgeable about Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Multithreading is a challenge that you're open to tackling.
• You have a BS in Computer Science or a related field.
