As a Remote Benefits Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients, responding to their inquiries, and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner. You will be the face of arenaflex, and your interactions with clients will be critical in building trust, loyalty, and satisfaction.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and instant message in a compassionate and respectful manner
- Build rapport with customers and tailor your service approach to meet their unique needs and communication styles
- Handle confidential information with sensitivity and discretion, adhering to HIPAA and Data Privacy laws and company data security requirements
- Translate complex health and welfare and pension terms, plan information, and processes into simple explanations and instructions that customers can understand and act upon
- Read and understand clients' plan documents and online knowledgebase tools to determine immediate requests/questions and anticipate future needs of the member
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and provide exceptional customer experiences
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge in customer service, benefits, and industry-specific topics
- *Essential Qualifications:**
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience in customer service or call center environments (preferably in the benefits industry)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and provide creative solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Bilingual in Spanish or French (paid 0.75 cents more per hour)
- Experience working with benefits plans, health and welfare, and pension terms
- Knowledge of HIPAA and Data Privacy laws and company data security requirements
- Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g., Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR))

- *Compensation, Perks, and Benefits:**
- Competitive hourly rate: $17.25-$18.00 per hour (non-bilingual) or $18.00-$19.25 per hour (bilingual)
- Regular pay bump after 30 days: $18.50 per hour (non-bilingual) or $19.25 per hour (bilingual)
- Benefits package available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment, including health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
