- *Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced External Support Engineer to join our team, responsible for providing technical support to external content creation teams, creating reference materials, and training external teams on our toolset. As a key member of our support team, you will be the first point of contact for content teams experiencing issues with our tools and workflows, filtering issues and feedback to our tools engineering team. Your expertise will be invaluable in driving tool and workflow improvements, ensuring our content creation teams have the resources they need to succeed.
- *Essential Functions/Responsibilities**
- Provide technical support to content/external teams in regards to use of content tools, including troubleshooting and resolving issues
- Create reference materials and provide training to get external teams up to speed with the toolset, ensuring seamless adoption and efficient use
- Solve and debug possible issues with tools and workflows to quickly resolve issues for users, escalating more complex or problematic issues to the tool development team
- Advocate for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams, driving innovation and efficiency
- Partner with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality, ensuring our content creation teams have the resources they need to succeed
- Guide or lead cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion, fostering collaboration and innovation
- Exemplify reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions, setting a high standard for our team and external partners
- *Skills and Abilities**
- Ability to read and understand C# code, with experience in Unity 3D game and tool development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including working with external partners and stakeholders
- Positive attitude and ability to receive and provide objective and constructive feedback, fostering a culture of growth and improvement
- Excellent organization skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage numerous requests simultaneously
- Self-motivating, with a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality results
- *Education and Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Experience supporting a live service or tool environment, with a strong understanding of software development lifecycle
- Unity 3D game and tool development experience, with a strong understanding of game development principles and best practices
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect tracking software, with a strong understanding of agile development methodologies
- iOS and Android mobile development experience, with a strong understanding of mobile app development principles and best practices
- 5 years' experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment, with a strong track record of success
- *Position Type/Expected Hours of Work**
Our core hours are 10:00am to 6:00pm CST, which means you should be available for meetings and collaborations during this time. As a remote worker, you will be expected to work independently, with minimal supervision, and be self-motivated to deliver high-quality results.
