Position Overview

We're looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join our Cost and Operations Analysis team within the Analysis and Behavior Change division. In this critical role, you'll focus on improving efficiency, automation, and provider experience across our healthcare ecosystem. You'll work alongside cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions that address complex business challenges while advancing our mission to transform healthcare delivery.

What You'll Do

As a Data Scientist at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing advanced analytical solutions that drive business value. Here's what your day-to-day responsibilities will look like:

• Model Development: Design, implement, and deploy models, tools, and algorithms that enhance processes within our healthcare claims environment. You'll create predictive models that help us understand patterns and optimize operations.


• Opportunity Identification: Identify and quantify opportunities for analysis that improve efficiency and increase automation in claims settlement and claims management processes.


• Algorithm Creation: Develop, validate, and execute algorithms and predictive models to investigate complex issues, identify meaningful patterns, and recommend data-driven solutions.


• Data Analysis: Analyze, examine, and interpret large volumes of data in various forms, transforming raw information into actionable business insights.


• Complex Problem Solving: Perform analyses of both structured and unstructured data to solve reasonably complex business challenges, employing advanced statistical techniques and mathematical modeling.


• Statistical Modeling: Apply advanced statistical techniques and quantitative analyses to uncover trends, correlations, and insights that inform strategic decision-making.


• Data Pipeline Development: Create data models and pipelines to integrate, collect, and normalize data that generates meaningful insights and supports comprehensive reporting needs.


• Visualization and Communication: Utilize data visualization techniques to effectively communicate analytical results and support business decisions across all organizational levels.


• Data Integrity: Create and evaluate the data needs of assigned projects, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all data utilized in analyses.


• Data Source Recommendation: Research existing data sources and recommend additional data sources that could enhance analytical capabilities and business outcomes.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need a solid foundation in analytical methodologies and technical expertise. Here's what we're looking for:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or Healthcare Administration.


• Professional Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of relevant analytical experience in a professional setting.


• Programming Expertise: Strong experience programming using R or Python, with the ability to develop robust analytical solutions.


• Database Skills: Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
