- Maintain accurate records and reports on a personal computer
- Perform data retrieval and entry into a software application
- Perform other clerical functions as needed, such as processing mail, filing, and scanning
- Provide support to the Animal Services team, including answering questions and resolving issues
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner
- *Essential Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One (1) year of experience in customer service duties involving frequent public contact
- Experience in the operation of a personal computer required
- Ability to type accurately on a personal computer
- Ability to communicate effectively with others in person, via telephone, in writing, and online
- Ability to read for comprehension
- Ability to maintain records and prepare reports
- Ability to meet and deal with people effectively
- Ability to use a personal computer and related software
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Ability to learn the procedures and operations of the unit to which assigned

- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Experience in the animal services industry or a related field
- Knowledge of standard office methods and procedures
- Knowledge of business English, spelling, and arithmetic
- Knowledge of County departments, operations, and regulations
