  • *Job Summary**

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be the primary point of contact for our customers, providing timely and effective solutions to their inquiries and concerns. You'll work closely with our customers, healthcare professionals, and internal teams to resolve issues, answer questions, and provide guidance on our products and services. This is a full-time, remote position, requiring a minimum of 35-40 hours per week, with flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules between 5:00 am and 10:00 pm local time.

  • *Key Responsibilities**
  • Respond to inbound calls from customers regarding benefit eligibility, prescription status, and other related inquiries
  • Guide and inform customers on their prescription benefits, plan usage, formulary, fees, and order status
  • Document customer interactions, concerns, and resolutions in our computer systems
  • Identify issues and develop solutions, communicating with customers, pharmacies, and healthcare providers as needed
  • Make outgoing calls to customers regarding prescription orders and remittance concerns
  • Utilize multiple data banks to research facility concerns related to participant prescription and/or pharmacy benefits
  • Navigate and toggle between computer systems with ease and confidence, while engaging with customers in a compassionate and empathetic manner

  • *Required Certifications**
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (or higher)
  • 1+ years of customer service experience, including phone-based interactions
  • Proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex systems
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Word (ability to open and navigate a document) and Microsoft Excel (ability to open and navigate a spreadsheet)
  • Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our typical business hours of Sunday-Sunday, 5:00 am-11:00 pm local time (Pacific or Mountain Time, depending on location)
  • *Preferred Certifications**
  • Call center experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Expertise with Adult Learning in a digital environment
  • Experience working with digital systems and platforms, including internet, chat, email
  • Healthcare/Insurance experience (familiarity with clinical terminology, medical plan records, or benefit program design)
  • Community service, personality wellness, disease prevention, health promotion, and behavior change (working with vulnerable populations)
  • *Telecommuting Requirements**
  • Must have a dedicated workspace established that is separate from other living areas and provides data privacy
  • Ability to keep all company confidential documents secure (if applicable)
  • Must be located in an area that can receive a UnitedHealth Team-approved fast internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
  • Must be able to connect directly to the internet via a hardwired connection (either directly to the modem or router)
