As a Customer Service Representative on our VA Claims Support team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional service to our providers, resolving claims-related issues, and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction. You'll work closely with our team to ensure seamless communication, efficient issue resolution, and continuous improvement of our services.

  • *Key Responsibilities**
  • Answer incoming calls from providers who require assistance with CHAMP VA or Non VA Care claims, with the primary goals of first call resolution and provider satisfaction scores of 90% or higher
  • Research and evaluate accounts for proper adjudication using the VA Fee Basis Claims System (FBCS), VistA, and the Claims Processing & Eligibility (CP&E) system
  • Document call activity into VA systems, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
  • Maintain a working knowledge of applicable VA regulations as they relate to proper claims adjudication
  • Act as an effective team member, collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
  • *Essential Qualifications**
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1-2 years' experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare or claims-related environment
  • General office skills and knowledge of standard office equipment
  • Working knowledge of software such as Excel and Word
  • Data entry and 10-key experience necessary
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Personal traits of a high-level commitment, motivation, energy, team orientation, professionalism, trust, personal honesty, and integrity
  • *Preferred Qualifications**
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business, healthcare administration)
  • Experience working with VA claims systems, including FBCS, VistA, and CP&E
  • Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g., Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR))
  • Proficiency in multiple software applications, including CRM systems and data analytics tools
  • *Security Requirements**
  • NACI or higher level security clearance to support government (DoD, VA, etc.) assignments may be required
  • *Work Environment**
  • The incumbent will work in a remote environment, with minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions
  • Routine periods of being on the phone utilizing a headset, sitting, and data keying are required
  • The incumbent must be able to effectively operate the current computer system, telephone system, and other office machines such as copier and fax machines
  • *Physical Activity**
  • The incumbent must be able to finger, grasp, feel, see, sit, hear, and speak
  • This position is sedentary in nature with minimal lifting requirements
