  • *Job Summary**

As a Customer Service Representative in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy, you'll play a critical role in providing telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. You'll be responsible for the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders, which includes verifying and revivifying benefits. You'll also help our patients with translating and entering in new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and/or internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders that have accounts receivable or clinical issues.

  • *Key Responsibilities**
  • Provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy
  • Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and revivifying benefits
  • Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
  • Communicate and collect copay amounts from patients
  • Obtain authorizations from insurance companies and healthcare providers
  • Work with internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
  • Demonstrate compassionate, genuine care for patients and customers in a fast-paced environment
  • *Essential Qualifications**
  • One year experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone
  • One year work experience with Windows-based applications like Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
  • One year computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude
  • Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent

  • Pre-employment experience in a healthcare setting and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology
