  • *Job Summary**

As a Customer Service Representative in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy, you'll play a critical role in providing telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. You'll be responsible for the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders, which includes verifying and revivifying benefits. You'll also help our patients with translating and entering in new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and/or internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders that have accounts receivable or clinical issues.

  • *Key Responsibilities**
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients over the phone, responding to their inquiries and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying and revivifying benefits as necessary
  • Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts
  • Obtain authorizations and work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and/or internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and ensure timely fulfillment of specialty medications
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and orders
  • *Essential Qualifications**
  • One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone
  • One year of work experience with Windows-based applications like Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
  • One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude
  • Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent
  • *Preferred Qualifications**
  • Pre-existing healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
