As a Customer Service Representative in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. You'll be the primary point of contact for patients, handling their inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring that their medication orders are processed efficiently and effectively. You'll work closely with internal teams, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.

  • *Key Responsibilities**
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy
  • Process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and revivifying benefits
  • Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
  • Communicate and collect copay amounts from patients
  • Obtain authorizations from insurance companies and healthcare providers
  • Work with internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
  • Collaborate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to ensure that financial and clinical expectations are met prior to fulfillment
  • *Essential Qualifications**
  • One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone
  • One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
  • One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude
  • Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent

  • Pre-existing healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
