  • *Key Responsibilities**

As an Experienced Customer Service/Ground Operations Agent, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to all customers, including scheduled or charter services
  • Processing tickets, checking baggage, monitoring carry-on baggage for size and quantity, and assigning seats
  • Providing information on arrival and departure times, boarding procedures, carry-on regulations, and seating arrangements
  • Marshaling in the planes and pushing back the aircraft
  • Handling denied boarding situations, soliciting volunteers, re-accommodating customers, and providing hotel, meal, and taxi vouchers when appropriate
  • Assisting customers with special needs, such as customers who require assistance in boarding, loading and unloading baggage, and co-mailing of various weight and dimensions to and from aircraft and applicable airport baggage areas
  • Operating heavy, motorized machinery/equipment, including tugs, tractors, belt loaders, bag carts, push-back tractors, deicers, etc.
  • Enforcing safety/security measures and monitoring safety-sensitive zones to ensure FAA compliance
  • Ensuring arenaflex and airport regulations are followed
  • Performing other duties as assigned
  • *Essential Qualifications**
  • Combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986
  • Must pass a Criminal Background Check
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum one (1) year customer service experience or equivalent in related training and/or experience; airline industry preferred
  • Valid/unexpired driver's license
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English in order to receive and understand instructions, directives, and ensure safety, as well as the ability to interact with customers
  • *Preferred Qualifications**
  • Basic computer skills; knowledge of general office equipment
  • People-oriented, highly motivated with a positive and friendly attitude
  • Ability to work efficiently under time constraints
  • Well-groomed and adherence to dress code policy
  • Ability to attend required training
  • TRAINEE STATUS: Upon offer of employment, you will remain in trainee status until successful completion of all practical and written curriculum
