What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

As a Co-op Data Analyst in Crew Resources and Planning, you will be an integral part of our Team Assets and Planning division. Your primary focus will be on delivering data-driven solutions and automation initiatives aimed at continuously improving Group Resources and Booking performance and decision-making. Here's what you can expect to accomplish in this role:


  • Data Analysis and Insights: Conduct comprehensive data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in crew scheduling and resource allocation. You'll leverage your analytical skills to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decisions.

  • Process Automation: Identify existing manual processes that can be optimized through data automation. You'll design, develop, and implement automated solutions that streamline operations, reduce errors, and improve efficiency.

  • Solution Development: Create and deliver solutions that help reduce task completion time and enhance overall productivity. This includes developing scripts, tools, and dashboards that make data more accessible and actionable for team members.

  • Project Management: Utilize strong project management skills to ensure all tasks are completed on time and within budget. You'll coordinate with cross-functional teams, track progress, and communicate updates effectively.

What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

We're looking for candidates who are currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university and meet the following requirements:

  • Educational Background: Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience with SQL or database querying tools is required. You should have a solid understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and functional knowledge of data modeling.
    • Proficiency in at least one scripting programming language (Python, R, or PowerShell) is preferred and will be a significant advantage.
    • Strong computer skills with extensive knowledge of Excel, including VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), are essential.
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive meaningful insights. You should be comfortable working with large datasets and have a keen eye for detail.
  • Process Improvement Knowledge: Familiarity with process improvement techniques is preferred. Knowledge of methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks will be highly valued.

Rotation Requirements

Students accepted into this co-op position must be able to complete three rotating assignments in Atlanta, GA. This rotation program is designed to provide you with comprehensive exposure to different aspects of our operations and teams. You'll have the opportunity to work in various functional areas, gaining invaluable experience and building a broad network of professional contacts within the organization.
