We're seeking an experienced Call Center Agent/Customer Service Representative to join our remote team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for handling inbound telephone calls, resolving Tier 1 level issues, and providing exceptional customer service to taxpayers. - Handle all inbound telephone calls related to tax compliance, delinquency, and general information requests and inquiries in a fast-paced environment
- Resolve Tier 1 level issues efficiently and effectively
- Review taxpayer accounts to ensure accurate and timely information
- Verify, gather, and update key information simultaneously
- Educate taxpayers on online resources and current tax policies
- Submit requests for payment arrangements
- Participate in all team engagement activities to foster a positive and collaborative work environment
- Meet performance expectations and contribute to the success of the team
- *Key Skills and Qualifications**
- Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google applications
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Great interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with taxpayers
- Retains knowledge easily and applies it to real-world situations
- Creative problem-solving skills, with a focus on finding solutions that meet customer needs
- Goal-oriented, organized, and biased for serving others
- Spanish-speaking preferred, but not required
- *Experience and Education**
- Previous experience in a fast-paced call center environment, with at least two consecutive years in a similar role
- National call centers in industries such as finance/banking, insurance, and telecommunications (not technical support)
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- *Additional Requirements**
- Ability to work flexible hours or schedule as dictated by business needs within our operating hours (7:45 am to 5:15 pm, Monday through Friday)
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
- Must have hardwired internet access with sufficient bandwidth to handle applications required for the job duties
- Must be able to attend an intensive 3-week training program from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Arizona time
- Must be able to pass required pre-employment checks, including state and federal criminal background checks, fingerprinting, and Arizona tax filing records checks for the previous 5 years
- *Compensation and Benefits**
- $20.00 per hour
- 40 hours per week
- 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday
- Opportunity for permanent employment after 11 months or more, with a possibility of transitioning to a permanent position
