    Addison Group is partnering with a large, mission-driven healthcare organization to hire an Eligibility Specialist. This organization supports individuals with a wide range of care needs and is currently expanding its operations, creating new opportunities within the team.
  • *Job Description:**
    The Eligibility Specialist will play a key role in verifying and managing patient eligibility, with a focus on Medicaid programs. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable navigating systems while advocating for timely approvals.
  • *Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and confirm patient eligibility for state-funded healthcare programs, including Texas Medicaid
  • Utilize online portals (such as TMHP) to verify coverage and submit or track eligibility-related requests
  • Communicate with internal teams and external agencies to resolve eligibility issues and ensure timely processing
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within internal systems
  • Proactively follow up on outstanding items and escalate when necessary to avoid delays
  • *Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
  • Prior experience working with Texas Medicaid programs strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with TMHP portal and HCS program is a plus
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling follow-ups assertively
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with Social Security processes is a plus
