Pay Range: $49,000 - $56,000/year
Job Summary:
The Ecommerce & Web Specialist plays a key role in supporting the performance, functionality, and growth of Thistle Farms’ digital storefront. This role blends operational execution with data-informed strategy, ensuring that product listings, site performance, and user experience align to drive engagement and revenue.
Working closely with the eCommerce Website Manager, this position supports the full product lifecycle, executes website updates and campaigns, and leverages analytics to improve conversion rates and reduce friction in the customer journey. This role also provides technical support for frontend enhancements and site maintenance, contributing to a seamless and high-performing online experience that supports the organization’s mission.

Duties/Responsibilities:
eCommerce Operations & Product Lifecycle
Lead the launch and maintenance of approximately 200 product listings annually across Shopify, Shopify POS, and Faire
Ensure accuracy of product descriptions, metafields, tags, and SEO keywords
Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including Product Lifecycle Coordinator and Finished Goods Manager, to ensure seamless product data flow
Support execution of promotional strategies, including discount setup and implementation in alignment with marketing campaigns
Data-Driven Website Optimization
Monitor and analyze website performance using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Microsoft Clarity
Identify trends, user behaviors, and drop-off points within the sales funnel
Translate insights into actionable improvements, including landing page optimization, upsell/cross-sell strategies, and layout enhancements
Continuously evaluate and improve user journeys to reduce friction and increase conversions
Technical Content Support & Site Maintenance
Conduct regular website audits to ensure functionality, performance, and user experience consistency
Support maintenance of design systems (e.g., Figma) to ensure UI alignment across the site
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues within the CMS
Frontend Development & Integrations
Utilize HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to support customizations and enhancements beyond standard platform capabilities
Maintain GitHub and Shopify integration, including version control and deployment processes
Assist with technical aspects of website updates and enhancements
Website Development & Optimization Projects
Support major website initiatives, including the 2026 retail website refresh
Conduct research, user interviews, and usability assessments
Document and recommend optimized user flows and site improvements
