Discovery Attorney (Remote - work from home)

Growing and highly respected West Los Angeles civil litigation firm with specializations in warranty defense litigation, business litigation, and personal injury is offering a Discovery Attorney position in its warranty defense team. The applicant must be a licensed attorney. The right person will be a fast learner, a self-starter, have excellent writing skills, be able to handle their own case load, and be interested in litigation. Our firm prides itself on a collaborative team environment where we care about the work that we do and always deliver for our clients. Our clients include major automotive manufacturers, small/local businesses, and individuals.

Any of the following are a plus for a candidate:
• Propounding and responding to discovery
• Second level quality control review of work done by others
• Advanced database search experience, which includes:
• Searching for and selecting documents for depositions
• Assisting in developing a complex factual chronology
• Developing an understanding of an event using targeted searches; and
• Constructing complex searches to efficiently identify significant documents.
• Drafting meet and confer letters, calendaring deadlines, noticing depositions, objecting to deposition notices
• File management and tracking discovery responses
• Assist with case intake by reviewing leases, legal forms, and correspondence for specific information and analyzing facts
• Contact clients as needed to obtain missing case-related information
