Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Director of Healthcare Data Management to lead our data monetization initiatives and strategic analytics efforts. This role is central to our Healthcare division, working cross-functionally to identify, develop, and execute data-driven opportunities that deliver measurable value to our pharmaceutical partners, healthcare providers, and patients alike.
The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of strategic thinking, operational expertise, and leadership capabilities. You will be responsible for managing the operational capabilities of our Healthcare Strategy team, collaborating with multiple disciplines across the organization to enhance existing data monetization products and develop new ones. This position offers significant visibility into enterprise-wide initiatives and the opportunity to shape the future of healthcare data analytics at arenaflex.
Key Responsibilities
As the Director of Healthcare Data Management at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with a comprehensive set of responsibilities that span strategic planning, team leadership, and operational execution. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving our data monetization initiatives forward while ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with various departments and teams both within and outside arenaflex, including Pharmacy, Retail, and Field Operations to enhance current data monetization products, identify growth opportunities, and support branch-wide initiatives.
- Data Governance Leadership: Establish and maintain continuous improvement of data governance and management strategies across the organization, partnering with different business lines to strengthen data monetization offerings and ensure data integrity.
- Contract Management: Provide the Retail Strategy team with contract management strategies and analytics to ensure proper implementation and management of enterprise terms, including core analytics related to pharmaceutical manufacturer service agreements.
- Client Relationship Management: Support business relationships with existing and new data product/service customers by serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and collaborating with diverse internal teams including IT, Purchasing, National Account Management, and Specialty Pharmacy.
- Regulatory Compliance: Participate in and contribute to regulatory or contractual audits with comprehensive data analysis as a Subject Matter Expert, ensuring all data practices meet industry standards and legal requirements.
- Contract Development: Participate in RFP responses and Statements of Work (SOW) for new contracts as a SME, helping to secure new business opportunities through compelling data proposals.
- Matrix Leadership: Work in a matrix environment to share responsibility for pharmaceutical manufacturer relationships, coordinating with Purchasing, National Account Management, and Specialty Pharmacy teams on data monetization and related contractual needs.
- Business Development: Support new business development by providing program design and methodology expertise to create proposals for new services, including reporting and analytical capabilities that demonstrate value to prospective partners.
- Enterprise Coordination: Accountable for a cross-functional leadership role across arenaflex to create alignment and synergies across Pharmacy Services, Store Operations, and Specialty divisions.
- Project Advisory: Advise on various data monetization projects and initiatives (current or future) to ensure that any data-related changes and dependencies are identified, communicated, documented, and managed to ensure adherence with contractual requirements and Enterprise Data Governance standards.
- Team Development: Coach, mentor, and develop personnel through orientation, training, and performance management programs to build employee morale, motivation, and loyalty while fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Analytics Product Leadership: Lead delivery and support of existing and new analytics products, including Inroads, in collaboration with external partners to provide data and insights to pharmaceutical, payer, and health system partners.
- IT Partnership: Define and partner closely with the IT team to develop and monitor metrics that impact current contractual data delivery services and analytics products, ensuring seamless technology integration.
- Budget and Compliance Management: Operate within organization guidelines regarding policies, procedures, budgets, and relevant laws. Ensure the development and implementation of authorized manufacturer partner offerings are consistent with overall corporate strategy.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Data Science, or a related field is required. An advanced degree (MBA, MHA, or related) is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in implementing programs of financial or operational importance in a pharmaceutical manufacturer or healthcare services environment.
- Program Design: At least 4 years of experience with the design, documentation, and implementation of service programs of financial or operational significance.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: At least 3 years of experience working with multiple disciplines at arenaflex, defining and gaining concurrence on project accountabilities and activities.
- Strategy Development: Experience participating with both internal and external sources to develop strategies that meet department and organizational needs within budget and established timelines.
- Problem Solving: Experience identifying service/operational issues and recommending and implementing effective solutions to address them.
- Project Management: Proven experience in project management, including planning, organizing, and managing resources to achieve specific project goals and objectives.
- Program Analytics: Experience in program management and analytics of manufacturer programs for Specialty Pharmacy services.
- Financial Acumen: At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions within the organization.
- Leadership Experience: At least 3 years of direct management, indirect management, and/or cross-functional team management experience.
- Travel: Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time for business purposes (both within the country and internationally).
Preferred Qualifications

- Advanced degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or Data Analytics
- Experience with healthcare data interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR)
- Strong background in pharmaceutical data analytics and market access

- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and analytics tools
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing healthcare data (HIPAA, FDA)
- Proven track record of successful negotiation with pharmaceutical manufacturers

Compensation and Benefits
