Director – Global Business Development (CRO)

InoRx is a next-generation global CRO built on the foundation of the SRM clinical research ecosystem. We are seeking a Director / Senior Manager – Global Business Development to drive growth across US and global biopharma markets
, including Big Pharma, mid-size pharma, biotech, and generics/biosimilars companies
.
This role will focus on building strategic partnerships and securing clinical development programs across Phase I–IV trials, bioequivalence studies, biosimilars, and real-world evidence programs
, positioning InoRx as a high-quality, cost-efficient global partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities across Big Pharma, mid-size pharma, biotech, and generics companies .
- Develop and execute global BD strategies to expand InoRx’s presence in North America and international markets .
- Build and manage a robust pipeline across clinical trials, BA/BE studies, biosimilars, and post-marketing programs .
- Establish relationships with biotech incubators, and academic institutions.
- Strategic Account Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key sponsor accounts , including large pharmaceutical companies and emerging biotech.
- Serve as the primary point of contact during proposal, contracting, and study start-up phases.
- Identify opportunities for account expansion and cross-selling across service lines.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business .
- Proposal Development & Contracting
- Collaborate with internal clinical, scientific, and operational teams to develop tailored proposals.
- Lead RFP responses, bid defenses, and sponsor presentations .
- Develop competitive pricing strategies aligned with global CRO benchmarks.
- Support negotiation and execution of contracts and agreements .
- Market Intelligence & Thought Leadership
- Monitor trends in clinical outsourcing, therapeutic pipelines, and regulatory environments .
- Provide insights on market needs, competitive positioning, and service expansion opportunities .
- Represent InoRx at major industry conferences
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with clinical operations, regulatory, bioanalytic, and project management teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and reporting in CRM systems.
- Support internal alignment between commercial strategy and operational capabilities .
- QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or related field (required)
- MBA or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience
- 8–15 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic accounts within CRO/CDMO/life sciences services
- Proven track record of selling to Big Pharma, mid-size pharma, and biotech sponsors
- Strong understanding of:
- Clinical trials (Phase I–IV)
- Biosimilars and generic drug development
- Bioequivalence studies
- Regulatory pathways and submissions
- Global outsourcing models (Full Service, FSP, hybrid)
- Industry experience preferred:
- Global CROs such as IQVIA, ICON plc, PPD, Syneos Health
- Mid-size or specialty CROs with exposure to biosimilars, generics, or emerging biotech clients
- Experience working with or selling into Top 20 pharmaceutical and SMID companies
