Director, Digital PR & Social Strategy

Sutherland Gold is looking for a Digital PR & Social Strategy to join our growing team and help lead digital and social strategy for some of the most exciting B2B tech startups around.

This is a senior role for someone who lives at the intersection of PR and digital — someone who knows how to turn a news moment into a LinkedIn campaign, build an executive's voice from the ground up, and connect social performance to real communications outcomes. You'll be both a strategist and a doer, leading client programs while mentoring a talented team.

    What you'll do:
  • Lead integrated digital and social programs that amplify earned media, support PR campaigns, and build brand credibility across channels
  • Develop and manage executive thought leadership programs, primarily on LinkedIn, that grow visibility and reinforce key narratives
  • Serve as a senior client partner — setting strategy, managing expectations, and demonstrating ROI
  • Manage and mentor a team of managers, associates, and contractors
  • Partner closely with media relations and communications teams to keep digital and PR strategies in lockstep
    What we're looking for:
  • 7–9 years at a PR or communications agency, with significant digital and social responsibility
  • B2B tech experience strongly preferred
  • A natural storyteller who can make complex technical topics compelling
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with tools like Sprout Social, Google Analytics, and MuckRack
  • A collaborative leader who can manage multiple accounts, build scalable processes, and help grow an agency practice
