🧑🏻‍💻 Responsibilities: 

Administer, monitor, and maintain MySQL databases in production environments

Diagnose and resolve performance issues: slow queries, lock contention, index design, execution plans

Manage and operate cloud database services on AWS (RDS, DMS), including provisioning, patching, backups, and failover

Design and implement backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies

Perform and coordinate database migrations using AWS DMS and related tooling

Collaborate with engineering teams on schema design, query optimization, and capacity planning

Define and enforce database security policies, access controls, and compliance standards

Document procedures, runbooks, and change management protocols

🤝 If you have:
Experience in software engineering; AI Engineers with solid software engineering foundations are preferred.

Solid hands-on experience administering MySQL in production environments (performance tuning, troubleshooting, replication)

Proven experience with AWS database services, particularly RDS and DMS

Strong ability to analyze and optimize query execution, indexing strategies, and database configuration

Experience with backup/restore procedures and disaster recovery planning

Advanced English — both written and spoken, for client and team communication

Plus:
Experience with PostgreSQL administration

Familiarity with NoSQL engines (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, or similar)

Experience with data streaming tools such as Kinesis or Kafka

Knowledge of scripting or automation for database tasks (Python, Bash)

Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana)
