Lab3 is one of the largest Azure engineering practices in the Australasia region with a focus on Cloud & DevOps, Data, IoT & AI, Modern Workplace, Modern Apps & Integration, Security, and Network services.


 


We are urgently looking a Data Tester for an initial 3 -month contract on a daily rate, to work remotely from anywhere in New Zealand. to lead the establishment and implementation of end-to-end data testing to ensure that reporting platform releases meet agreed standards.


You must be in NZ and have resided here for 5 years+ to be considered for the role (to enable government security clearance).


The role:



  • Test data & reporting platform releases



  • Establish and maintain the team release management process.

  • Monitor Azure and Fabric cost consumption and data quality

  • Operate to best practice development methodologies and processes

  •  Accountable for the delivery and quality of testing, and associated artefacts.

  • Ensure accurate sizing, high-quality refinement, and adequate documentation to enable effective planning, delivery and support.

  • Own and evolve automated reconciliation testing frameworks

  • Build and maintain reconciliation audit trails and surface results via dashboard/reports for migration sign-off and visibility

  • Work closely with the product team to understand the technology roadmap and support agile delivery.


The right candidate:



  • 5 years+ of relevant experience in all aspects of testing, ideally including incorporating them into test frameworks as part of an automated CI/CD pipeline.



  • Hands on experience developing automated testing solutions.

  • Hands on experience monitoring data quality in an enterprise reporting solution.

  • Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Fabric or Power BI lifecycle management.

  • Hands on experience developing and maintaining continuous deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps

  • Experience working in an agile enterprise reporting team.

  • Experience working in a cross-skilled agile software team, including the demonstrated ability to influence a team to adopt improvements.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills

  • ISTQB certification/s.

  • Fabric or Power BI report development experience.

  • Python and PySpark experience will be highly valued

  • New Zealand citizen or permanent resident with 5+ years in NZ, thereby eligible for government security clearance

  • Available within 2 weeks for a 3-month contract  (extendable)on a daily rate

  • Based anywhere in New Zealand
