Position Overview


We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Data Scientist to lead our analytical transformation within the Talent Acquisition space. In this pivotal role, you will have the unique opportunity to build from the ground up and enhance our analytical capabilities, ranging from data collection and entry processes to complex business transformations, end-user reporting, and beyond.

As an independent Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for the entire data lifecycle – from sourcing and cleaning to analyzing, refining, optimizing, modeling, presenting, automating, and documenting our business data pipelines. You'll be constantly evaluating ways to improve data stream processes, staying current with the latest trends in data warehousing, and skillfully managing multiple concurrent projects.

Key Responsibilities



  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner closely with recruiters, software developers, and business leaders to define and optimize business processes while providing comprehensive analytical support across all TA initiatives.

  • Advanced Data Analysis: Utilize programming expertise to analyze complex datasets and design, develop, and evaluate data transformations that address specific business challenges and drive actionable insights.

  • Pipeline Development: Build flexible, efficient, and automated data cycles that facilitate robust client-facing reporting and enable real-time decision-making across the organization.

  • Process Automation: Automate Talent Acquisition processes to streamline business operations, reduce manual workloads, and improve overall efficiency and accuracy.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate complex analytical findings both verbally and in writing to business clients and leadership, translating data insights into strategic recommendations.

  • Trend Monitoring: Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data warehousing and talent analytics to maintain competitive advantage.

  • Project Management: Organize and manage multiple related projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.

Essential Qualifications



  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or Computer Science from an accredited institution.

  • Programming Expertise: Minimum 3+ years of experience with data querying languages (such as SQL), scripting languages (such as Python), or statistical/numerical programming (such as R, SAS, MATLAB, or similar tools).

  • Machine Learning Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience with machine learning and statistical modeling, including hands-on experience with data analysis tools and techniques, as well as understanding of parameters that influence model performance.

  • Applied Modeling Skills: Demonstrated experience applying theoretical models in practical, applied business environments with measurable outcomes.

  • Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving abilities with a passion for extracting meaningful insights from complex datasets.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications



  • Advanced Degree: Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or Computer Science.

  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in a Machine Learning or Data Scientist role at a leading technology company or large-scale enterprise environment.

  • HR Technology Knowledge: Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and talent acquisition analytics tools.

  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud-based data platforms and big data technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

  • Deep Learning: Knowledge of deep learning frameworks and advanced ML techniques for natural language processing or predictive modeling.

  • Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
