<h3 data-start="1129" data-end="1147">About the Role</h3>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">This is a 12-month fixed term contract. We're at an exciting but demanding point in our data platform journey, and we need extra capacity to help us move faster. There's real, meaningful work to do here — and plenty of scope to make your mark.<br><br>We're looking for a Data Platform Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our core data infrastructure. You'll work on pipelines, platform tooling, and data quality, helping us scale reliably and build good engineering habits along the way.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">You'll report to the Senior Data Platform Manager and collaborate closely with Analytics, Data Science, and Platform Engineering. This is a hands-on role — you'll spend most of your time building, fixing, and improving, with growing opportunities to shape technical decisions as you settle in.</p>

<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Contribute to the design and improvement of our data warehouse and lakehouse architecture</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Help consolidate and improve fragmented tooling, replacing manual processes with automated, repeatable solutions</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Support data quality, lineage tracking, and observability across our pipelines</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Work within our CI/CD workflows and contribute to infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform</li>

<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Hands-on experience with tools like Python, SQL, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Familiarity with cloud-native data infrastructure and batch or streaming data processing</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">A collaborative mindset and the ability to communicate clearly across technical teams</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Comfort working in ambiguous environments where not everything is defined yet</li>
