Data Engineer (Azure)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design and maintain our Azure data platform. You will build scalable data pipelines, deliver insights, and support data-driven decision-making across the business while ensuring data quality, governance, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks
  


• 
  Design and optimise data models and warehouse structures
  


• 
  Integrate data from multiple sources into a unified platform
  


• 
  Deliver dashboards and reporting solutions aligned with business needs
  


• 
  Ensure data quality, security, and governance standards
  


• 
  Monitor and optimise pipelines for performance and cost-efficiency
  


• 
  Collaborate with stakeholders and support ad hoc data requests
  


• 
  Manage deployments, version control, and data workflows
  

Qualifications

• 
  Degree in IT, Software Engineering, or related field
  


• 
  Certification in ADF and Databricks preferred
  


• 
  10+ years' experience in Data Engineering or similar role
  


• 
  Strong experience with Azure (ADF, ADLS, SQL Server)
  


• 
  Hands-on with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI
  


• 
  Proficient in SQL and Python (R is a plus)
  


• 
  Familiar with Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Airflow
  


• 
  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
