Tayco is a company focused on operational performance metrics, and they are seeking a Data Analyst & IT Support to gather, analyze, and report data. This role involves supporting the Operations Team with actionable insights and ensuring data integrity through various responsibilities.


Responsibilities

  • Gather data from internal and external sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Clean, organize, and maintain datasets to ensure data integrity and consistency
  • Use database management tools to efficiently store, retrieve, and manage data
  • Analyze datasets using statistical methods to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Python, or R to communicate findings effectively
  • Identify and address business challenges through data-driven solutions and recommendations
  • Create and deliver comprehensive reports summarizing key metrics, trends, and actionable insights
  • Present findings to stakeholders clearly and concisely, enabling informed decision-making
  • Monitor and analyze performance indicators, providing regular updates and insights
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and gather requirements
  • Translate business objectives into clear, actionable data requirements
  • Support data-driven decision-making across departments by providing reliable and timely analysis
  • Apply predictive modeling, trend analysis, and other statistical techniques to forecast and optimize outcomes
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation through data insights
  • Responding in a timely manner to IT related issues and requests
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware (printers, scanners, tablets, etc.) and/or software (Office, ERP, Solidworks, etc.)
  • Providing technical support and training across the company (in person or over the phone, teams)
  • Creating accounts for new hires and deleting/disabling them upon departure to maintain security
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
  • Testing new technology
  • Other duties as required

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
  • Experience in data analysis or a related field (or equivalent academic experience)
  • Ability to work with large datasets and perform data cleaning and manipulation
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience with databases and querying languages (e.g., SQL)
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, R)
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with statistical analysis and modeling
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with SmartSheet is an asset
