About the Inside Account Management Team


The Inside Account Management team at arenaflex is the heartbeat of our merchant partnership success. We're a dynamic group of sales professionals, account managers, and solutions experts dedicated to the retention, satisfaction, and growth of our SMB merchant partners. Based primarily in Phoenix, AZ, our team combines the best of in-person collaboration with flexible remote work arrangements to deliver exceptional results for our business partners.

About the Role


As a Merchant Success Manager at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of SMB commerce. You're not just managing a portfolio of accounts – you're cultivating relationships that help local business owners achieve their dreams, grow their revenue, and connect with more customers than ever before.

This position is responsible for a merchant's long-term retention, engagement, and overall satisfaction with arenaflex. You will cultivate our relationships with SMB business owners while helping them craft a successful partnership that drives real results. Your scope is broad and impactful, encompassing everything from strategic planning to day-to-day operational support.

You will report to the Inside Sales Manager on our Inside Account Management team. We believe in a flexible work environment that balances remote productivity with meaningful in-person collaboration. You should expect to travel periodically for team trainings, offsites, team-building events, and other business necessities that strengthen our collaborative culture.

What You'll Do



  • Proactive Account Management: Make outbound dials to existing merchants from your book of business (200+ accounts) to build relationships, understand their evolving needs, and identify opportunities for growth through arenaflex products and marketing spend.

  • Strategic Goal Setting: Establish clear goals and key performance indicators for each DoorDash partner (now arenaflex), working collaboratively with SMB restaurant merchants to define success on their own terms.

  • Business Advisory: Advise business owners on promotions, advertising strategies, and spending allocations to help them achieve their unique revenue goals and maximize their return on investment.

  • Ongoing Communication: Maintain consistent communication with merchants via phone and email to monitor progress, provide support, and ensure they're always moving toward their business objectives.

  • Quarterly Business Reviews: Deliver comprehensive quarterly business reviews (QBRs) that examine each brand's partnership with arenaflex, highlight successes, identify areas for revenue optimization, and chart a clear path forward for growth opportunities.

  • Churn Prevention & Expansion: Proactively reduce churn by identifying at-risk accounts and implementing retention strategies while supporting new store expansions and additional location onboardings.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal growth teams to identify the best products and services to pitch to merchants, ensuring we're always offering solutions that genuinely add value.

  • Travel as Needed: Participate in in-person collaboration through trainings, offsites, team-building events, and other business-related activities that require physical presence.

What We're Looking For

Basic Qualifications



  • 1+ years of experience in client-facing sales roles with a track record of increasing customer satisfaction, retention, and product adoption

  • 1+ years of experience in sales, with strong preference for outbound dials and proactive relationship building

  • 1+ years of experience in business operations or a related professional setting

  • Experience in prior sales, account management, portfolio management, or similar client-facing roles

  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM tools – you should be comfortable navigating, updating, and leveraging CRM platforms to manage your book of business

  • Intermediate to proficient level competence in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel, including the ability to maintain complex spreadsheets, analyze data, and create meaningful reports

  • Demonstrated empathy with customer needs – you genuinely care about understanding their unique challenges and adapting your approach to meet their specific goals

Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience in the food delivery, logistics, or technology industries

  • Background working with SMB merchants or restaurant owners

  • Strong presentation skills with experience delivering business reviews to clients

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding retention and growth targets

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Self-motivated with a solution-oriented mindset
