Position Overview: Customer Service Representative – Data Entry Specialist
We are currently seeking motivated individuals to fill full-time, remote positions based in Miramar, USA. As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for performing accurate data entry, managing patient enrollment, and handling high-volume customer requests in accordance with state and government guidelines. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Working under direct supervision, you will be expected to maintain compliance with company policies and procedures while providing top-notch support to patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers. Key Responsibilities
As a valued member of the arenaflex team, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Patient Enrollment & Data Entry: Accurately enter new patient information into our pharmacy systems using arenaflex prescription data entry techniques and guidelines. Ensure all data is processed in compliance with HIPAA regulations and company standards.
- Medication Request Management: Handle patient medication requests, including refill orders, within HIPAA guidelines. Investigate and obtain missing prescription information as needed.
- Clinical Abbreviation Interpretation: Decode and interpret clinical abbreviations (SIG codes) to ensure accurate prescription processing and patient safety.
- Exception Resolution: Resolve all data entry-related exceptions efficiently and accurately, maintaining quality control standards.
- Patient Communication: Handle inbound communications including phone calls, chats, and emails from patients. Make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as necessary to resolve issues or obtain required information.
- Third-Party Issue Resolution: Investigate, collect information, make corrections, and resubmit third-party claims for processing according to specific policy requirements. Contact insurers and other parties to obtain information, gain override approvals, or resolve third-party issues via telephone.
- Pharmacist Support: Provide assistance to pharmacists both in-office and at other locations. Identify and communicate issues to senior-level staff as appropriate.
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Acquire and maintain an active pharmacy technician license or certification within the first 90 days of employment as required by state regulations.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to start up and shut down computers, use mouse navigation, open and close programs, switch between applications, save documents, print reports, and access information online
- Basic web browser skills, including opening browsers, typing URLs, using search engines, bookmarking sites, navigating with back/forward/stop buttons, and completing online forms
- Intermediate keyboarding skills (minimum 25 WPM) with the ability to type from memory and organize documents
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to obtain an active pharmacy technician license or certification within 90 days of hire and maintain it throughout employment
- Ability to work full-time in a remote environment
- Must be located in or willing to work from Miramar, USA
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
- At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment
- One and a half years of experience as a pharmacy technician with current certification/registration by the state Board of Pharmacy or a nationally recognized certification organization
- Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality service standards and customer satisfaction evaluation
- Intermediate to advanced keyboarding skills (minimum 35 WPM) with the ability to type from memory and format documents professionally
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (written and verbal)
