About the Role

Are you ready to take your technical expertise to the next level while making a meaningful impact on enterprise clients? arenaflex is seeking a talented Customer Engineer - Windows Server Platforms to join our dynamic team. As a Customer Engineer at arenaflex, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to our enterprise clients, focusing on delivering proactive services that empower them to maximize their technology investments. Your role extends beyond traditional technical support—you will be an educator, consultant, and strategic partner helping clients navigate their digital transformation journeys.

What You'll Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will be diverse and engaging, requiring you to leverage both your technical expertise and interpersonal skills:

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need a robust technical background combined with exceptional customer-facing skills:


  • Technical Experience: Extensive experience with hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, and technology management in enterprise environments.

  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 8 years in customer-facing roles encompassing systems architecture, administration, operations, software support, IT consulting, on-premises and cloud support or consulting for enterprise and/or government customers.

  • Advanced Troubleshooting: Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues with a track record of successful outcomes.

  • Modern IT Architecture: Deep understanding of Modern IT Architecture and Strategy, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.

  • Azure Cloud Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including:

    • IaaS platform (networking, storage, and related services)

    • Infrastructure as Code principles and implementation

    • Azure Governance frameworks and best practices

    • Azure Migrate tools and migration methodologies

    • Well-Architected Framework principles

    • Cloud Adoption Framework methodologies



Technical Proficiency Requirements

You must possess broad knowledge of on-premises products with deep expertise in the following areas:


  • Windows Server: Advanced to expert level knowledge of Windows Server 2012 R2 through 2025, including deployment, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.

  • Virtualization Technologies: Strong expertise with Hyper-V, VMware, Azure VMware Services, and Azure Stack HCI.

  • Windows Client: Advanced to expert level knowledge of Windows 10/11 deployment, management, and optimization.

  • Patch Management: Comprehensive understanding of Windows Update and enterprise patching strategies.

  • Networking: Solid foundation in enterprise networking concepts, including VLANs, VPNs, load balancing, and network security.

  • Storage Solutions: Experience with enterprise storage technologies, SAN/NAS implementations, and cloud storage integration.

  • High Availability: Deep knowledge of Failover Clustering, including design, implementation, and troubleshooting.

  • Performance Optimization: Expertise in Windows Performance tuning, analysis, and optimization techniques.

  • Debugging Skills: Proficiency in Blue Screen analysis and kernel debugging for advanced troubleshooting.

  • Automation Mastery: Strong PowerShell skills including scripting, automation, and Desired State Configuration (DSC).

  • Remote Desktop Services: Experience with RDS deployment and management.

  • Windows Virtual Desktop: Knowledge of WVD (Windows Virtual Desktop) implementation and management.

  • Deployment Experience: Proven track record in successfully planning, deploying, operating, and optimizing on-premises environments.

  • Certifications: Relevant Windows and Azure certifications are highly preferred and demonstrate commitment to professional development.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will help you stand out:


  • Advanced technical certifications in Microsoft Azure or Windows Server technologies

  • Experience working with Fortune 500 enterprise clients

  • Previous consulting or customer success experience in a similar role

  • Knowledge of additional cloud platforms beyond Azure

  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

  • Understanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements
