We launched in 2025 and are growing 15% a month with a lean team of 15. We ship new features daily and write about them every week at rentengine.io/blog.
Now we are hiring to build even faster.
This is a high-growth, high-ownership startup. Everyone here is an individual contributor. There are no middle managers and no bureaucracy. You will learn fast and take on as much responsibility as you can handle.

What you'll own
This role is brand marketing first: shaping how RentEngine sounds and looks across every channel, then turning that voice into copy that converts.
Brand voice — keep RentEngine's voice confident, direct, and consistent everywhere it shows up, from the blog to LinkedIn to email
Copywriting — write the words that move people to act: landing pages, email campaigns, and product pages
Content creation — turn source material (product walkthroughs, internal notes, engineering tickets, customer calls) into newsletters, blog posts, and LinkedIn content
Repurposing — take one piece of source material and slice it into newsletter copy, LinkedIn posts, blog drafts, and short video scripts
Campaign support — help write prospect nurture campaigns, case studies, one-pagers, and quarterly report copy
What we're looking for
Marketing experience. You have worked in B2B or B2C marketing, even briefly. Property management, prop-tech, or SaaS experience is a plus, not a requirement.
A portfolio. Send us links to copy, content, or campaigns you have written. This is non-negotiable. We will not review applications without one.
Sharp instincts for brand voice. RentEngine is confident, direct, and problem-first. We prefer data over adjectives.
Strong writing without AI. AI is a complementary tool here, not a replacement for thinking.
Self-direction. You will work from transcripts, Linear tickets, screenshots, and source documents, and ask when something is not clear.
Location and time zone
Fully remote, though candidates in or near Cape Town are preferred for in-person sessions
Compensation
$15-20 USD/hour, based on experience
