Strategic Commercial Governance Role




OVERViEW


We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager / Commercial Lead to support the business on a part-time basis. This is a senior, advisory-focused role reporting directly to the Executive Team, with responsibility for overseeing commercial activities, reviewing contracts, and ensuring effective risk management across the organisation.


The successful candidate will review and provide commentary on contracts, including Statements of Work, sub-contractor agreements, and NDAs, while helping to embed robust processes for the management of commercial arrangements.




Mandatory Requirements



  • Extensive experience in a senior commercial or procurement leadership role

  • Proven track record in managing and negotiating contracts

  • Strong understanding of commercial strategy, financial considerations, and risk assessment

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to review and succinctly summarise complex contracts




Desirable



  • Experience working with self-employed contractors and external suppliers

  • Familiarity with Crown Commercial Service frameworks (e.g. G-Cloud, TS4)

  • Exposure to technology and/or public sector environments

  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced, dynamic project environments and support business transformation initiatives
