Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours in employee's time zone
Compensation: $25.00 to $30.65 per hour
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Commercial Compliance Specialist provides single-point ownership of SavATree's commercial compliance function — bringing contracts, certificates of insurance, bid and RFP support, prevailing wage at the contract stage, and GSA Schedule administration under one umbrella. The role exists to support the continued growth of the commercial business by replacing today's shared-services model — where compliance work sits alongside fleet and facilities admin — with a credentialed owner accountable for the consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of SavATree's commercial obligations across our national footprint.
Working in close partnership with the National Commercial Manager, Commercial Operating Manager, Payroll leadership, branch teams, customers, and government agencies, the Specialist safeguards contractual obligations, maintains regulatory compliance, and upholds consistent commercial standards across all SavATree operating states.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Commercial Contracts
Review, redline, and process commercial contracts — including MSAs, customer agreements, property management agreements, NDAs, and service contracts
Maintain the commercial contract repository and track renewals, expirations, and key contract milestones
Coordinate certificate of insurance (COI) requests, renewals, and tracking with carriers and customers
Route executed contracts for officer signature and maintain the signature workflow
Bid & Pre-Award Support
Review large RFPs prior to submission to flag risk terms, compliance triggers, scope gaps, and unfavorable language before bids go out
Prepare pre-bid checklists, bid bonds, and performance bonds in coordination with commercial and operations teams
Research prevailing wage determinations (Davis-Bacon and state-level) at the RFP stage and apply correct rates into bid pricing
Package wage documentation into bid submissions and provide a clean handoff to Payroll upon contract award
GSA Schedule Administration
Manage day-to-day administration of SavATree's GSA Multiple Award Schedule contract (GS-21F-0149V), including modifications, price adjustments, and MAS compliance
Submit quarterly GSA sales reports and Industrial Funding Fee (IFF) remittances on schedule
Prepare for and respond to GSA audits, including Contractor Assessments and Industrial Operations Analyst (IOA) reviews
Prevailing Wage — Commercial Side
Capture and document wage determinations at the contract and RFP stage, before work begins
Flag prevailing wage applicability to Payroll immediately upon contract award and provide the contract-side documentation Payroll needs to administer the certified payroll program
Note: Certified payroll execution (LCPtracker, eMars submissions), fringe benefit calculations, worker classifications, and the Points North relationship remain with the SavATree Payroll team.
Special Projects & Ongoing
Support special projects and ad hoc commercial initiatives as assigned by leadership
Perform other tasks as required by business needs and management
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: National Commercial Manager, Commercial Operating Manager, branch leadership, payroll leadership, accounts receivable, and corporate employees
