<p><strong>Commercial Account Manager – <span>Agriculture </span><span> (Permanent Full-time)</span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span>Location:</span></strong><span> Remote Position. The successful candidate must reside within </span><span>three hours of Kawartha Financial Services Regional Office, Peterborough ON </span></p>
<p><span>We are looking for a candidate to provide excellent member service in the Northumberland, Peterborough, and Kawartha Lakes Regions. </span></p>
<p><strong><span>Hours: </span></strong><span>Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week</span> </p>
<p><strong><span>Rate of Pay: </span></strong><span>$1,159.61 - $2,028.28 per week (plus pension and applicable benefits)</span> </p>
<p><strong><span>This role may be filled at different levels; the successful candidate will be placed accordingly based on their experience.</span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span>As a Commercial Account Manager - Agriculture, you will:</span></strong></p>
<ul>
<li><span>Apply relationship selling and relationship management principles and techniques </span><span>acting as a trusted advisor to local commercial and agricultural producers, business </span><span>members and prospects, providing complete financial solutions to meet </span><span>their business </span><span>and personal banking needs.</span></li>
<li><span>Accountable for risk management of the commercial loan portfolio as well as the quality of information, analysis, profitability and credit recommendations in executing sales of credit/non-credit products and services to commercial and </span><span>agriculture </span><span>members and prospects.</span></li>
<li><span>Maintain an effective business development and community involvement strategy to protect and expand share of profitable commercial </span><span>and agriculture </span><span>business, utilizing an extensive network of referral resources.</span></li>
<li><span>Actively engage in the local agriculture and business community to build visibility and foster new business opportunities.</span></li>
<li><span>Attend and participate in industry events, networking groups, and local business associations to strengthen Kawartha’s presence.</span></li>
<li><span>Liaise with professional service providers such as Central 1, lawyers, real estate appraisers, credit reporting/collection agencies and insurers, as required.</span></li>
<li><span>Work co-operatively with all Credit Union branch or department personnel (e.g. </span><span>Retail Banking and Wealth Management</span><span>) to identify opportunities to ensure members needs and expectations are profitably met and/or exceeded.</span></li>
<li><span>Retain and expand commercial and agricultural relationships to achieve portfolio retention, sales, service and profitability objectives and proactively develop relationships with new members.</span></li>
<li><span>Complete annual credit reviews in a timely manner according to policy, coordinating financial information requirements with the Commercial </span><span>Credit Funding </span><span>Department;</span></li>
<li><span>Analyze information received to assess risk; develop action plans to minimize Credit Union exposure where appropriate. Identify commercial and retail opportunities. Review pricing and submit recommendation for renewal for approval. Visit clients on a regular basis (at least annually) to ensure loan security is protected.</span></li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span>Qualifications Required:</span></strong></p>
<ul>
<li><span>Business related University Degree/College Diploma, or appropriate combination of Business, </span><span>Agriculture </span><span>and lending related courses</span></li>
<li><span>1-5 years commercial lending experience</span></li>
<li><span>Proven experience managing a diverse business portfolio, including small to medium-sized businesses and agricultural enterprises</span></li>
<li><span>Knowledge of the Credit Union system would be an asset</span></li>
<li><span>Able to be decisive and firm, while demonstrating empathy</span></li>
<li><span>Excellent oral and written communication skills</span></li>
<li><span>Negotiating skills</span></li>
<li><span>Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills</span></li>
<li><span>Excellent sales and service skills</span></li>
<li><span>Good organizational and time management skills</span></li>
<li><span>Must have a reliable vehicle as travelling is required of this position</span></li>
