SBI Consultants LLC is an industry leader in engineering consulting, seeking a Project Engineer to join their team. The Project Engineer will serve as a liaison between the project manager and technical disciplines, managing project schedules, budgets, and documentation while ensuring compliance with customer requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Plans and implements engineering program, including defining the project philosophy, activities, milestones, and staff requirements, per customer requirements
  • Develops and maintains a schedule and budget for the assigned engineering project
  • Provides reports on the status of project milestones and adjusts schedules accordingly
  • Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget
  • Monitors project resource and productivity requirements and coordinates staffing with supporting organization managers
  • Coordinates preparation and delivery of project design documents, and bid packages
  • Monitors project teams’ performance in accordance with established project criteria
  • Reviews product design for compliance with customer contract requirements, and related specifications
  • Monitors activities concerned with technical, scheduling, and budgeting developments
  • Monitors integration of technical activities and products
  • Monitors design changes, specifications, and drawing releases
  • Prepares interim and completion project reports
  • Provides status and progress reports to clients, project team, and management
  • Other duties may be assigned

Skills

  • Bachelor and/or Master's degree in engineering from an accredited university
  • 0 to 3 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Successful candidate must be a problem solver and a team player
  • Ability to manage time, plan and prioritize assignments to meet clients' demands and project(s) deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Undertraining of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling is essential for success in this role
  • Master's degree is preferred
  • Working knowledge of scheduling tools, such as Primavera P6, Vizio, MS Project, and Smartsheet is preferred
