BSN SPORTS, a Varsity Brands company, is the recognized leader in team athletic gear. They are seeking a driven Club Development Representative to expand their presence in the club volleyball market by identifying and converting prospective clubs into long-term partners.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and qualify new club volleyball organizations through outbound calls, emails, social outreach, and attending events to build an extremely healthy pipeline of qualified leads
- Support the full sales process from initial outreach to proposal generation, contract closure and handoff to local sales teams
- Maintain detailed, accurate CRM records of target accounts, lead status, opportunity notes, and relevant engagement metrics
- Collaborate with Field Sales Professionals, Club Development Managers, and National Account teams to prioritize leads and coordinate territory-level acquisition efforts
- Assist in the development of sport-specific presentations and proposals, aligning product assortments and services with the unique needs of each club
- Stay informed about club volleyball trends, product offerings, and competitive landscape, using insights to add value in prospect conversations
- Meet or exceed individual KPIs for total incremental growth dollars, and contribution to new business pipeline activities
Skills
- Passion for volleyball and a strong understanding of the club/academy landscape, with the ability to speak credibly to coaches, directors, and administrators
- Deep familiarity and existing relationships within the club sports ecosystem—particularly club volleyball
- Comfortable managing outbound outreach in a fast-paced environment with clear daily/weekly activity targets
- Highly organized with strong follow-through and the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities at once
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling messages across multiple channels
- Self-motivated, coachable, and driven by both team success and individual achievement
- 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales, or customer-facing roles—preferably in a sports, apparel, or team-focused environment
- Experience using CRM systems and basic sales enablement tools
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
