Civil Engineer

The Entry- or Mid-Level Civil Engineer supports the analysis, design, and evaluation of concrete systems to ensure safety, performance, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the analysis and design of concrete systems for buildings, infrastructure, and specialty applications
• Perform engineering calculations and prepare technical reports under the direction of senior engineers
• Support the development and review of construction documents, including drawings and specifications
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
• Assist with resolving technical issues during design, testing, and construction phases
• Support evaluation of concrete materials, construction methods, and performance criteria
• Stay current with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices related to concrete and civil engineering

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
• Foundational knowledge of civil engineering and concrete design principles
• Internship, co‑op, or project experience involving concrete or construction
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team‑based environment
• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ACI, ASCE, and IBC
