Job context


This position is a member of the Senior Management Team along with the Program Manager, Grants Manager, Finance Manager, Senior Operations Officer, DMEL Manager, and Capacity Building Manager.



In the new structure there are 2 Capacity Building Managers envisioned: one for Africa (Anglophone and Francophone) and the other covering Latam and Asia. The regions will remain separated for the sake of organizational outlook and regionalization, and where possible to joining teams together would be encouraged, but not a requirement. Capacity Building Managers will be ensuring the development of the accompaniment model and providing support to the DPFs all along.



Programmatic: developing and improving accompaniment model and outreach, supporting DDP DMEAL and tech resources



Organizational development: networking, supporting DDP strategy development and implementation, supporting Grants team in selection and advise on new grantees



Administrative tasks: HR management, report writing, meetings



Responsibilities


Programmatic tasks



  • Providing support and facilitation to the DPFs in the respective regions

  • Staying up to date on contextual and technological changes and availing resources to the field teams

  • Providing inputs to the online DDP platforms and manuals with information from the field

  • Supporting DPFs in their outreach activities

  • Contributing to DMEAL information gathering and sharing of the Field Building projects (accompaniment)

  • Contributing to the improvement of DMEAL data collection and tabulation




Organizational Development



  • Support the teams in the regions in networking with local organizations and embassies where feasible

  • Providing inputs to the DDP strategy and potential proposals and fundraising activities

  • Be a member of the Grants Selection Committee (particularly inputs for the applicants in their field areas) and acting as part of the subgrant selection committee




Administration



  • Managing DPFs in the respective regions

  • Ensuring the conducive working environment for the team and the team members well-being

  • Attending Senior Management team meetings

  • Initiating and attending bi-weekly (or monthly) field team meetings

  • Preparing monthly reporting
